Tynemouth Station

Public Consultation
Welcome
Amethyst Homes are preparing new plans for the development of the former sidings adjacent to Tynemouth Station.
The land has the benefit of planning permission for a mixed use scheme for 71 new homes, a retail unit and a car park which was approved in November 2022 (Planning Ref 20/00136/FUL).

This new proposal represents a whole new application, by a different developer, bringing forward a high quality residential scheme of 46 new homes that responds positively to its surroundings and reflects the principles of good placemaking, sustainability and contextual design.
As well as new homes, the proposals will deliver a new car park to the north of the station, along with landscaping and public realm improvements. We are keen to hear your views on our new proposals and invite you to complete a short questionnaire on the ‘Have Your Say’ tab.

Please explore this consultation platform to learn more about the new development and submit your feedback
by 24th July 2026.

Amethyst Homes will consider all questionnaire responses prior to finalising and submitting a formal planning application to North Tyneside Council in August 2026.
